Cross Project Use Case

EDCar

This dataset describes the transformation of a semantic document of a SAMM model v1.0.0 for Material Data towards a PMDCo-compliant knowledge graph and vice versa. The SAMM was generated from a JSON payload in the previous step by using YARRRML. The YARRRML rules are deposited in the following dataset: YARRRML rules

The transformation between SAMM and PMDCo is done by SPARQL CONSTRUCT queries, which can be executed in memory or within a triplestore.

The overall workflow is illustrated in the appended PNG image.

While the SAMM is a resource natively shared within the Catena-X dataspace, the PMDCo knowledge graph is a representation describing more detailed information such as the process chain of production for the material and other valuable information. Especially the material production data is usually kept within the boundaries of the respective organisation.

After running the INSERT SPARQL query with the HTML helper on the update query endpoint, the SAMM document is transformed into a simple PMDCo knowledge graph. The PMDCo graph can be queried with this example: PMDCo-Query
